Lots to do, kids, teens, and adults. Beautiful surroundings and efficient layout. Love the used books, mags, CD's, etc for sale. Auditorium hosts MANY programs and presentations and the library itself has become the center of community events. Thank You!
Plenty of space and the people are very helpful. I've used the library for tutoring, studying, and reading. It never to ceases to disappoint with a tranquil atmosphere, abundant private rooms, and expansive selection!

To the employees of the New Castle Public Library,
I would like to formally apologize for trying to use a library for what I THOUGHT it was for.
I go here often to do dnd with my friends in their private room. The employees are always kind and helpful. My only problem is that people will walk in and start bugging us mid game. I know that isn't their fault but it really ruins it when you're getting really into it.
Definitely NEVER going back. First, the girl who "helped" me figure out my library card didn't look me in the eye, was yawning the entire time she talked to me, and obviously did not have any desire to help me. Next, I am walking through the library and NONE of the employees even give a smile, let alone greet me. (I understand they have probably had a long day of "greeting" others, but I don't give a crap, it is their job to be kind to their customers) Lastly, I decide to ignore the poor service so far, and read the book I have to read for my English class. The chairs were uncomfortable, so I decided to read on the floor. I am promptly yelled at to get off of the floor and yelled at WHILE I WAS GETTING OFF OF THE FLOOR. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
