Great camping experience. Nice campsites and tons of trails and recreational areas. Didn't do much on the water but the park itself was nice
I camped here at site 100 August 27 & 28. The site was great, had a waterfront view. You can rent a canoe or kayak from across the lake and leave it at your campsite. Lots of trails for walking your dogs. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. It's also handicapped accessible. I took 1 star away because at 6:30 am on Monday morning, the trash man came through and woke everyone up! He stayed for about 20 minutes making sure everyone was awake! He banged on loud things and went to each of the sites, yelling, "Time to wake up!"
Beautiful park. Camping out is very fun and relaxing. If you choose a camp site next to the water be prepared to clear a bunch of duck poop so you can set up camp. A lot of water related activities are available. Park staff are friendly and willing to help.
A nice relaxing place. There is a beach. A fun lake to kayak on because they don’t allow speed boating. Nice trails and lots of birds.
Summit Lake has 3 walking trails of different lengths- 1/2; 1, & 2 miles. All are "easy" and all have both wooded and lake shore sections.
